In Christ there is no East or West
In him no South or North
But one Great fellowship of Love
Throughout the whole wide earth
I am always struck by the simple message of this old hymn inspired by St. Paul’s letter to the Galatians and it is no coincidence that not only does it appear in both of our Episcopal hymnals but it is part of the worship music of the Lutheran, Baptist and many other faith traditions. A wonderful example of the “one great fellowship” occurred on Easter Sunday between the services when David Hughes prepared a fine breakfast for the congregation and visiting guests. It was nice to have the opportunity to break bread with newcomers and our brothers and sisters from all the services.
With that in mind, we would like to remind you of upcoming fellowship events that should be on your radar.
Sunday April 17 at 4:00 PM there will be a Concert of Sacred Music at Advent and a reception afterward.
Sunday April 24th is our annual meeting, please come and participate.
Sunday May 15th will be the Pentecost picnic, burgers and hot dogs will give you a taste of the Summer to come.
May 20, 21 the youth group will be performing Aladdin Jr. at Crosslands and at Advent. You won’t want to miss it.
Join hands disciples of the faith
What e’er your race may be
Who serves my Father as his child
Is surely kin to me
Yours in Christ
