Election Day ~ November 8, 2016
There is one thing about this election campaign that everyone can agree upon. It has been a divisive and painful experience for our country. We have decided as clergy and Vestry to have the doors of the church remain open on Election Day [November 8th] from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm for meditative prayer. In response to the division and pain that has occurred, we will hold a Noonday Healing Prayer service on Election Day at 12 noon in the church. All are welcome to attend, and please, bring a friend.
Holy and gracious God, who calmed the storm tossing the disciples' boat, calm the fears that surround us as we approach this election: Grant us the peace that comes from you alone as we sit with the uncertainty of our future, draw us ever closer to you, and give us the grace to reach out to those around us, remembering our strength lies in unity; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.
