It's An Outreach Triple-Header!

Wondering how you can make Christ visible in the world this week?  How about donating a bag of food to 'Fill the Bus', or some of your hosta divisions to the Plant Sale, or that giant salad bowl that you don't use anymore to the Rummage Sale. Click for details here then come out to our Outreach Triple-Header this Saturday, 5/12.

Welcome to The Episcopal Church of The Advent

We look forward to opening our bright red doors and meeting you!

Our mission is to be a congregation that makes Christ's presence visible in the world as the symbol of God's redemptive love for all humanity.

Our congregational focus is--as it has been for nearly 130 years--on worship, service, fellowship, and learning. We're proud to carry on the traditions that have made us a vibrant community for these many years and also excited to be a forward-looking, proactive congregation who firmly believe that faith is works. That said, there's a lot happening under our steeple and in our Fellowship Hall every week and we hope you'll want to learn more about us.

But for now, we invite you to join us in the blessing of worship some Sunday soon, here at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Kennett Square.

Welcome Father Michael

Fr. Michael's Installation as Rector

As we neared the end of Lent, we welcomed Father Michael Anderson Bullock and his wife Beverly to our church community. And on April 15th, Bishop Bennison installed Father Michael as the fourth Rector of our Episcopal Church of the Advent, Kennett Square.

Take a look at the 'New Chapter for Advent' photo album in the 'Advent Gallery' to see some wonderful moments from these much-anticipated occasions.

We look forward to working and worshipping with Father Michael in our continued efforts to make Christ's presence visible in the world.

Welcome Father Michael!

Let's Offer Gifts for Our Faith

Let your light shine forth as a Steward of Advent.  Through thoughtful consideration and well-managed preparation can we provide our parish with resources that allow it to create, sustain, and endure for us and for our community.  In acting as stewards for our church we fulfill our role as Christians; we let our light shine forth and light the way for others, as well. Visit the Stewardship page to see how you can participate in the important Stewardship role.

Youth Good Neighbors Proj II

Let's Work to Help Our Neighbors

Faith is realized through work. And in working together through our many Advent Outreach projects, we can find where there is need and fulfill it; find where there are opportunities for growth and renewal, and nurture them.   Discover where  your time, talent, and energy is most needed in our community, the region, and the world, and you will find your faith!

Let's Journey In Learning and Fellowship

Jesus was a teacher, and so we as Christians--and certainly as Episcopalians--have a long-standing record of learning and discerning.  Come learn and grow with us as we explore our faith throughout the year at Advent. Our Children's, Youth and Adult formation programs allow us each to find greater meaning in our faith as we get to know other Advent members with whom we journey. For how can we be strangers, if we all follow Christ?
