Adult Forum & Service of Prayer and Holy Communion for Peace

As we move into the Season of Advent, we prepare again to celebrate the birth of our Savior, yet we also acknowledge that Jesus, whom we proclaim the Prince of Peace, was born into a land and world that continues to be marked by violence, terrorism, and war. At 7 p.m., on Wednesday, December 13th, Rev. Tim will lead a service of prayer and Holy Communion for peace in Israel and throughout all regions of the world suffering from violence and war. Prior to the service, at 6 p.m., Rev. Tim will lead an adult forum in the fellowship hall on the history and current state of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem and the Middle East, which includes Israel, the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem shares a “companion diocese” relationship with our own Diocese of Pennsylvania. Rev. Tim will provide coffee, tea, cider, and snacks for the adult forum. You are invited to bring your own food for dinner during the forum, or you may choose to fast from eating as part of your prayer for that evening.
