Memorial Garden

Over two decades ago, the Church of the Advent consecrated a portion of our property to serve as our Memorial Garden. In this sacred space, we inter the cremated remains of individuals with connections to our church. Unlike a traditional columbarium where an urn containing ashes are placed in a niche, cremated remains are interred directly into the ground in the Memorial Garden, and the name of the one interred, along with birth and death dates, is inscribed in a large bronze plaque in the garden. A donation is requested to cover the costs of maintaining the garden and inscribing the deceased’s name into the bronze plaque. The Memorial Garden is also accessible every day of the week, from dusk until dawn, for personal prayer, reflection, and meditation. This professionally landscaped space with its benches and fountain provides a beautiful, meditative space for individual prayer.
