Altar Guild Team Meeting

Good Morning Altar Guild,

On Saturday morning, SEPTEMBER 30  9;30 AM TO 11;00 AM, we will have our bi-annual meeting at Advent.

Reverend Tim will be our "Keynote Speaker" and will talk with us about our service to the church, expectations, and our upcoming events, ie———H O L I D A Y S!   (Even though it will be 98 degrees this week—we do need to plan)

This will be our opportunity to talk with Rev Tim about his expectations, your suggestions, your questions, etc.

Altar Guild, although a denotive service—is not a time consuming service.   The time should be no more than an hour for the set up during the week prior to a service and 30 minutes (total)  on Sunday.

Again, no one should have to work alone—unless you choose to (set up).    There should always be 2 people.   If you see that no one has scheduled to work with you——please feel free to reach out to someone else or let me know.

SO—please plan to attend for a relaxed gathering to see your team members…and talk about moving forward.   RSVP please.  Also, please extend this invitation to anyone you know might have an interest.

As an aside, Advent is beginning our 3 Sunday services on September 24——the week before our Sept 30 meeting.

For now, the 7:45 team will set the altar for the service, clean the altar after the service, AND set up for the 9:00am service.  The 10:30 team can clean the 9am service, set up for the 10:30 and clean after the 10:30 service.   Anyone can jump in to help if you see there is a need (very much appreciated.)     BUT this system would only require 2 time slots to support.   For the 9am attendees——the service will be set, but if you are in attendance, you could clean and set up for the 10:30.      ANYWAY, just a  suggestion…….let’s talk about this at the meeting.
